The Genusshotel Almrausch is the perfect starting point for bikers and e-bikers to cycle the Nockberge Biosphere Park. "Nockbiking" is the motto here on a comprehensive network of trails with over 1,000 km of tours in all degrees of difficulty for pleasure and sport bikers. Far away from heavily frequented biking regions, a hip mountain biking hot spot has developed in the nock/bike area around Bad Kleinkirchheim, which inspires beginners, pros and families just as much as freeriders and park fans.

This grand multi-day tour takes you from Salzburg's Lungau region to the Adriatic Sea. Four to six days of pure MTB experience with up to 430 kilometers and a maximum of 7,000 meters of altitude lead sporty bikers through two states and seven regions. If you don't want to spend so much time, but still want to get an impression of the Alpe-Adria-Trail you can ride stage two from Bad Kleinkirchheim, which leads to Döbriach on Lake Millstätter See. If you want to explore the whole route, you can do so with a guided tour: The Sportschule Krainer in Feld am See offers this unique experience including luggage transport and return journey.
Bad Kleinkirchheimer Flow Country Trail
The trail, which is about 15 km long, stretches from the Kaiserburg mountain station to the valley station. The trail entrance is located in the middle of the Carinthian Nockberge mountains at 2,055m at the Kaiserburgbahn mountain station. On the way down to the valley there are about 970 meters of altitude difference with a gradient of about 8 percent. Bikers can expect rollers, jetties, small drops and single steep turns on the gravel-fixed track. Numerous dodges offer beginners and advanced riders a simultaneous and safe use of the trail.
